Welcome Back

Dear Families,
I hope you had a wonderful extended and WARM holiday break.  I know if your preschooler is anything like mine then they are ready to get back to school.  I really look forward to starting 2014.

We are now headed into all new themes and learning.  We will be focusing more on letter sounds as we begin 2014.  Look for some homework for you and your child soon.  We have a bear and winter activities prepared for the next few weeks.  The bear activities include many math activities such as sorting bears by shape and size, patterning with bears and learning shapes from the book "Bear in a Square."

Our holiday parties went really well.  During one of the parties I was too busy to take pictures so please parents if you have any from the Tues/Thursday party send them my way and I'll try to post them.

Reminder to dress your child very warm for school.  We can always take layers off as needed in the classroom and bundle up as needed for dismissal.

We welcome Jake to our Tuesday/Thursday class and we had to say goodbye to James from our Wednesday/Friday class.  James' family moved out of the district and we wish them all the best.

See you soon,

Gretchen
