CHANGE OF PLANS! END OF YEAR CELEBRATION!

Hi Everyone!  I'm sorry for the late notice but we've had to change our schedule.  We will now have our end of year celebration from 11:15 to 12:15 on June 5th or 6th (depending on which session your child is in).  I think it'll be more fun as it'll include a picnic lunch.  Please pack a picnic lunch for you, your family and child.  Also feel free to bring a blanket to sit on outside for lunch. After lunch we will have a group time followed by a mini-graduation.   Everything will be held outside (weather permitting).  You will have the option to take your child home with you after our celebration or have them stay for rest time.

Can you believe the school year is almost over? 

Mark your calendars for our end of the year celebrations.  On June 5th (Tuesday/Thur class) and June 6th (Wed/Friday class) from 1-2 p.m. you are invited to join us for a special group time and some outside play/celebration time.

We've been so busy lately.  We are currently learning all about the springtime.  We had caterpillars that have made cocoons and we are anxiously waiting for the butterflies to emerge.  We have a green house in our dramatic play center and each child planted seeds.  We sure hope some seedlings sprout soon. 

Our two main books of focus right now are The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle and Jack's Garden by Henry Cole. 

The bus ride was one of the many highlights of our field trip day!

Field Trip

Wow!  Our field trip was a huge success.  Thank you to the PTO for making it possible for us to go.  Thank you to all the chaperones.  We couldn't have gone without you.  The learning and experiences that I was able to witness during our field trip was priceless.  The Children's Museum is a preschool teacher's dream setting as it covers every area of development and provides access for all levels of development.  I've tried uploading photos several times today but for some reason my computer is not being friendly.  I promise photos soon!

The last two weeks we've been studying farm.  We will continue our learning with farm while adding the kitchen back to dramatic play!
